How To Clean Your Child’s Bath Toys

Standard

I don’t know about anybody else, but my son’s bath toys get disgusting after a few uses.

I discovered this method of cleaning them… give it a try at least once a month & let me know how it works for you!

For every gallon of water you would like to use, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar.

It’s that cheap & easy!

Enjoy!

Marriage Makeover: Tip #2

Standard

Have breakfast¬† & coffee made & ready for your husband EVERY morning. This will start his morning off right & will set the mood for the rest of his day. If he’s not a coffee drinker, & loves energy drinks, try to have enough in the house (hidden of course ūüėČ )¬†to put one out for him each morning.

Stuck in a Rut

Standard

To the many ladies out there who have found themselves in this position, this new segment of my blog will be for you.

Sometimes in a marriage,¬†you find yourself¬†hitting a wall. You let yourself become so unhappy & unproductive that you almost become¬† a weight.¬†Time to stop being¬†in denial ladies. The problem most likely isn’t just your husband, it’s also you. You have the power to change any & all situations & the solution is never just to sit & waitt for other factors to change so you can too.

If you’re¬†tired of the same old song & dance, it’s time to make a change.

Each day, I will post a tip for ladies on how to improve your marriage. How to stop blaming your husband & start putting the blame back on you.

My first & biggest tip for wives everywhere is…

Get dressed & ready EVERY morning; Make up & all! That is the number one way to start making a difference in your marriage. How is he going to think you’re attractive, if you don’t think you’re worth the time to make yourself look & feel it? Wear perfume or lotion everyday. Look & smell pretty. Not only will he respond differently, but so will you. If you start taking care of yourself, you’ll start feeling better about yourself. So, every night, lay out your clothes, jewelery, etc. Make sure you have a nice smelling lotion or perfume to apply & make it a point to get “pretty” every day. Even if he doesn’t seem to acknowledge the change… he does. He may just not want to say anything to make you feel like you aren’t beautiful to him to begin with. But trust me, he will notice.

Good luck!

Make Ahead Smoothies

Standard

Use Sunday as your prep day to make a bunch of different smoothies & freeze them.

This way, you don’t risk fruit going bad before you have a chance to use it & the work is already done!

Store in Ziploc freezer bags.

Transfer one to the refrigerator at night & in the morning, snip off a corner & pour!

Even if your not a breakfast person, this is a great way to jump start your metabolism without having to eat a heavy breakfast.

Enjoy!

Swap.com

Standard

I just joined this site today!

If you enjoy reading like I do, this is the perfect site!

You basically swap books, movies, games & CDs with others & you only pay shipping when you’re sending something out.

This is just an alternative to visiting your neighborhood library.

(The main difference between this & the library is you get rid of your old books & trade them for new ones.)

For All Homemaker’s Having a Hard Day…

Standard

I found this fitting…

We are expected to have it together 24/7.

We are expected to be cool, calm & collected at all times.

We are expected to make 25 hours worth of tasks happen in a 24 hour day.

We are expected to know where every item is at any given moment, should someone ask for it.

We are expected to be super mom & super wife… at the same time.

Why don’t we complain?

We have the silent satisfaction of knowing that each day happens because we make it happen.

You secretly know you are the glue of the family.

If you go down, the rest will follow.

Being a homemaker & a mother is a 24 hour job.

We take no vacations or sick days.

Be proud to write HOMEMAKER under job title on your medical updates & various applications.

Being a homemaker is what you make of it.

You are your own boss.

You are the new Bree Hodge & Martha Stewart put in one pretty little package.

Now,

Go show the world how it’s done & put the meaning of homemaker on a whole new level.

Have a good one ladies!
